Since a pen&paper library managment system did not serve our 21st century needs we decided to develop a SQL-based webinterface to maintain the "Handbibliothek of the Insitute for Numerical Simulation".

How it works

  1. If you do not have an account, create one
  2. When you take a book from either the library (room 3.002) or from a collegue, search for the book and select "I got this book"
  3. When searching for a book at OPAC of Uni Bonn you may get results with "Zweigstelle = Fachbibliothek Mathematik / Num Simulation". This means, that this book is either located in room 3.002 or in the office of some INS-collegue. If you enter the Signature of the OPAC-search result into this system and you will get email adress and office of its current location.
